Pair 乾隆 Qianlong Famille Rose "Basket Weave" Plates

A pair of early 乾隆 Qianlong export famille rose plates, the rim border with a single lotus blossom enclosed in a quatrefoil shaped cartouche reserved on a unique sepia enamel 'encre de chine' basket weave pattern of four pomegranate-shaped panels between which are small meandering blossoming lotus scroll/leaf panels containing grapes. The central decoration is composed of a finely painted bouquet of peonies, daisies and cabbage leaves, the veining on the large foliage highlighted in gold. The rims dressed with a brown iron wash.
清代 Qing Dynasty, 乾隆 Qianlong Period (1736-1795)
Diameter:  8 3/4" (22.5 cm)
Condition: Excellent, one plate with a 2mm glaze flake to back of rim.
